~Untitled

She hears words spoken behind her back
Untrue she knows but she can't change what people wanna say or think
What she doesn't comprehend is how the same people can pretend to smile or be cordial when she's looking them in the face
They look down on her
But she despises them even more for their hypocrisy
Those who perpetuate untruth are no less guilty than the hypocritical people who indulge in idle gossip
When they know the truth and choose to spread otherwise
For some strange reason she doesn't understand
Whether to make themselves seem more powerful, superior or perfect
She knows ultimately the truth will prevail one day
Even though God seems to be on their side
For now she would be the persecuted
